Arrived 7pm and the place was cold ordered the steak deal bad idea wouldn't have give the steak to a dog it was sent back and replaced with one slightly better someone had the gammon and they were not impressed with that either. .. All in all a disappointing visit.
Welcoming, friendly and wonderful place to have a family meal or just to grab a drink. Highly recommended.
First time at the restaurant, was not impressed by the attitude of the staff. Complained about children running around the establishment at 10.00 pm at night... crawling on the floor and running around screaming whilst other tables trying to have conversation and enjoy their meal, was told you should have booked in the over18 section and we are a family restaurant!Not an acceptable answer, my children would not have behaved in that way at that age.... surely management should have handled the situation as other diners should not be impacted by unruly children.We will think twice before booking a meal again!
Can be good, occasionally not. Today i had a brilliant lamb shank. Fish n chips was dry but ok. Alright burger. Sunday lunch beef a bit chewy. Very often understaffed. However... two for one on main courses makes it a very reasonable place to eat and drink. Also a very large place so great for big parties. If you're in the area and there are a few hungry ones, you could do a lot worse. Very friendly too.
Staff were lovely, but thin on the ground. We went for lunch. Prices were acceptable because it's a two for one. I have to say this time, not one of us were happy with our steak. We got the rump med to rare and it was tough/chewy. We will go back, it's probably just a fluke and they were little bit busy, so there was no way I was going to complain at that time. The lovely girl that served us was just running around like a headless chicken. DRINKS, I ordered a lager and lime and was served lager and black. Could do better, and have in the past. We will give it another try.
